Location: Long Meadow Brook
Directions: From Lovell, drive south on Route 5. Past New Suncook School, turn right onto Shave Hill Road. Take a slight left onto Harbor Road, and continue for 3 miles, then turn right onto Union Hill Road. Take a slight right onto Kezar Lake Road, then continue for approximately 2 miles. Kezar Lake Road will turn to dirt. Continue past Loon Ave. and the Reserve will be on the left, up the hill.
I am determined to get out of the office more this summer and invite anyone who'd like to join to come along. It's been a few years since I've been to several of the land trust trails, while I've been standing at my desk focused on the never-ending to-dos. I am rearranging my priorities, as it's equally important that I regularly get out to remind myself of the value of conservation.
Whether you want to pick my brain about the latest project, our new strategic plan, and the next big idea or prefer to talk about your latest outdoor adventure, (grand)kids, and exchange recipes, we can go where the trail and conversation lead us. And, if no one shows up, it's all good. Walking through the woods is where I do my best thinking.
I'll be flip-flopping between mornings (10 am) and late afternoons (4 pm) throughout much of the summer. Keep an eye on the enews or check our calendar at https://www.gllt.org/calendar to see where and when I will be in any given week. No need to sign up, just show up before 5 minutes past the hour. I look forward to having some company and meeting new people as the months unfold.
