Kezar Corridor Lands Forestry Site Walk

  • Greater Lovell Land Trust PO Box 225 Lovell, ME, 04051 United States (map)

Location: Kezar Corridor Lands, Dan Charles Pond parking lot.

Forest management is a vital tool for enhancing forest health, creating ideal conditions for wildlife, and helping to build forests that are more resilient in a changing climate. At GLLT, we call this work Forestry for Resilience, and we invite you to walk with us on the land to learn more about why forest management is a valuable conservation tool, how we decided to manage a forest, and to get a first-hand look at what some of these management techniques look like.

Join GLLT staff, one of our consulting foresters, and other community members for a walk at a recently managed area of forest at the Kezar Corridor Lands in Lovell on April 30th from 4:00pm-5:00pm. This event is designed as a follow-up to the "pre-treatment" walk we held at Kezar Corridor Lands last fall.

Please note that this walk will be off-trail over ground that will be muddy, uneven, and covered in woody debris in some places.
